There’s no need to shop in London when all your shopping needs can be found locally. And thanks to the Fastrack bus rapid transit system you won’t have to use a car to go shopping if you live or work here either.

There’s every opportunity to indulge in retail therapy.

  • Bluewater has over 300 of the country’s finest shops, bars, cafes and restaurants, set in 50 acres of landscaped parkland and lakes. The centre attracts 27 million visitors a year.
  • You’ll find big name stores in the pedestrianised centre of Gravesend. The Borough Market is one of the country’s oldest and there are more eclectic shops in side streets leading down to the atmospheric waterfront. Plans for the regeneration of the Heritage Quarter will further enhance the shopping offer within the town.
  • In Dartford, a number of shopping centres face onto the high street and Prospect Place offers a range of food and clothing stores. Plans are also afoot to revitalise the town centre.
  • Plans for both Ebbsfleet Valley and The Bridge also include new, community shopping facilities.
