Kentec Electronics Limited is the UK’s leading independent fire control panel manufacturer.

Kentec has been established in Dartford for over 20 years, specialising in the manufacture of fire detection and alarm control panels. It exports to more than 70 countries and reports annual sales of £10 million, employing over 120 people.

Rising demand for its services stimulated a significant expansion and the opening of a £750,000 production facility close to its existing premises on Questor Industrial Estate, Dartford, in February 2009. Kentec is a thriving company which is continuing to expand and create new job opportunities due to the demand for its products and services. In 2009 the Dartford firm was granted the Royal Warrant of Appointment by Her Majesty The Queen in recognition of its status as an official supplier of Fire Detection Equipment to the Royal Household.  

Kentec Electronics’ worldwide reputation helped it to acquire substantially all the assets of a leading American fire alarm and detection company, Viking Electronic Services, and the creation of VES LLC fire alarm and detection company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kentec.

In 2004, it acquired Azcon Component Solutions, which enables it to provide other services to manufacturers in the electronics industry. Headquartered in Questor Industrial Estate, Dartford, Kentec is ideally located for easy access to London and the UK market plus there’s a ready supply of skilled labour close by.
