As part of the Government’s ’Sustainable Communities Plan’ some 25,000 new homes will be built in Kent Thameside over the next 20 years. At its heart will be new communities in Ebbsfleet Valley. Here 10,000 new homes will be complemented by community, leisure and shopping facilities.

  • 9km/5 miles of Thames waterfront will be opened up to new and existing communities with a number of key developments. These include Northfleet Embankment and the award winning Ingress Park, delivering 6500 new homes and riverfront restaurants and cafés
  • The Bridge development in Dartford includes 1500 homes designed by Wayne Hemingway linked to Bluewater, Crossways and Dartford town centre by Fastrack.
  • 2600 High quality new homes will be delivered at key sites in Dartford and Gravesend town centres
  • Key to the regeneration of Dartford town centre will be development in the Northern Gateway and Lowfield Street
  • More than 650 new apartments are planned for Gravesend Heritage Quarter, including a new riverside landmark building
  • One third of all new housing will be affordable homes.
