Fastrack

Fastrack is an award-winning Bus Rapid Transport (BRT) system that's transforming local travel at the heart of Kent Thameside.

Fastrack has the best characteristics of a modern tram delivered through a more cost-effective, flexible bus-based system. Clean, comfortable, frequent buses provide a service that’s a credible alternative to the car for local journeys. Operating largely on Fastrack-only busways and priority lanes to by-pass traffic queues and congestion hot spots.

Passengers. Five million people have used the service since March 2006 - carrying 45,000 passengers a week. Fastrack Route A. Serving Dartford town centre, The Bridge, Crossways Business Park, Greenhithe rail station, and Bluewater. Fastrack Route B. serving Gravesend town centre, Greenhithe rail station, Bluewater, Darent Valley Hospital, Dartford town centre and Ebbsfleet International. Future. Planned network expansion will add two further routes. Ultimately a 40km Fastrack network will stretch across the Kent Thameside area.
