Kent Thameside has a wonderful natural heritage with nine miles of riverfront and more green space than 14 Hyde Parks. Multi-million pound investments have been secured to restore and protect this rich environment.

The area is being transformed with restoration projects such as at Cobham Park and pioneering major public art projects including The White Horse.

Energy Sustainable initiatives incorporate energy and water efficiency, such as Fastrack routes that help reduce emissions and improve air quality.

Waterfront A network of parklands and green spaces are interwoven between the River Thames waterfront and the surrounding countryside.

Water Conservation of existing water resources will accommodate new developments.

Careful planning continues to drive forward projects such as Gravesend’s Riverside Leisure Area and Central Park in Dartford, connecting the waterways, green spaces and corridors of Kent Thameside.

“Britannia is committed to a programme of continuous investment in its future and the local community. In addition, we have always been conscious of our role in protecting the environment, with state of the art abatement technology and good controls.” Neil Wardle, General Manager, Britannia Refined Metals.
