Land in North Kent around Dartford and Gravesend, with a total area of more than 22 square miles is being transformed under government backed plans for this key part of Thames Gateway.

Old industrial sites, historic towns, and land on the Thames waterfront, are being revitalised to become smart places to live, work and invest for the future.

This development will give everyone the chance of a high quality lifestyle. Local communities are already benefiting from integrated public transport. New schools and medical centres will help raise standards in education and health. New and restored open spaces are being brought together with existing sites into a ‘Green Grid’.

Ambitious new commercial developments will bring 50,000 new jobs to the area. 25,000 new homes are to be built over the next 20 years.
