Ebbsfleet Valley lies on the important regeneration axis linking Bluewater to the west and the new Ebbsfleet International Station to the east. The development has been identified as one of four, key ‘transformational’ locations that will act as catalysts for generating growth in the rest of the Thames Gateway and beyond.
The vision for Ebbsfleet Valley is that of a cosmopolitan development at the core of Kent Thameside, where homes and jobs are side by side. Over the next 20 years, developer Land Securities will transform the area into a vibrant mixed-use community, with up to 10,000 new homes and the creation of up to 20,000 jobs. The 420 hectare (1,038 acres) site will include;
- 279,000 sq. m. of community, retail and leisure facilities
- A business core of up to 557,000 sq. m. of offices
- Around 400 acres of open space, lakes and parkland - nearly 40% of Ebbsfleet Valley
- Five new primary schools, a secondary school and health facilities, which will help to ensure Ebbsfleet Valley is a truly sustainable community.
Ebbsfleet Valley will be connected to the surrounding regeneration projects and existing residential and commercial areas via the Fastrack bus rapid transit system.
