Kent Thameside is one of the fastest growing areas in the UK, covering the boroughs of Dartford and Gravesham and Ebbsfleet Valley, the largest brownfield site regeneration project in Europe.
It is already a hub for innovation and home to Bluewater, Europe's largest retail and leisure destination, and many contemporary housing developments including The Bridge in Dartford. The area also has a rich cultural background and welcomed the opening of the country's largest facility for Sikh worship, the Guru Nanak Gurdwara, in Gravesend, in 2010. This progress, coupled with a history including Ingress Abbey in Greenhithe and St George's Church in Gravesend; put Kent Thameside on the map as a hugely important part of the Thames Gateway redevelopment.
